IBHRE Lounge at Heart Rhythm 2019 Annual Scientific Sessions

The IBHRE Lounge is open daily to all who are IBHRE certified as well as to non-certified individuals seeking information. This is an excellent opportunity for prospective examinees to meet with IBHRE staff as well as to meet one-on-one with Test Writing Committee members and IBHRE Ambassadors(mentors) - stop by and ask specific questions about the exams and learn about the IBHRE scholarship program. This is a great opportunity also for IBHRE certified individuals to discuss volunteer opportunities, meet with IBHRE leaders, and pick up IBHRE certification lapel pins. Stop by to also to join us for IBHRE's 35th Anniversary Celebration. In addition, you won't want to miss the opportunity to learn about the new Cardiac Device Education and Self-Assessment (CDESA) Course!

Refreshments will be available during specific times. If you miss visiting the lounge, stop by IBHRE's exhibit which will be in the EPicenter during Heart Rhythm Society's Scientific Sessions in San Francisco, CA.

IBHRE’s 35th Anniversary Celebration (Refreshments will be available): Dr. Seymour Furman founded NASPExAM (now the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners) in 1984 and it was established in 1985. Come celebrate with us!

  • Meet & Greet IBHRE Leaders (2–2:45 p.m.): Designed for allied professionals and physicians, this session is a great opportunity to meet with IBHRE leaders to learn more about IBHRE certification and verification of continuing education.
  • IBHRE Ambassador Award (2:45–3 p.m.): IBHRE will recognize Frances C. Munkenbeck, MD, FHRS, CCDS of McKenzie Heart Group in Springfield, Oregon for her dedicated service to advancing IBHRE certification.
  • Recognition of Subject Matter Experts (3-3:30 p.m.): IBHRE will recognize individuals who have served on test writing committees and contributors to IBHRE’s new online course.

Receive a Discount Code: Stop by the IBHRE Lounge to receive a code for a $10 discount on Verification of Continuing Education (VCE) registration fee. Refreshments will be available.  NOTE: VCE is required to maintain a current certification status - VCE must be submitted the 5th year of your IBHRE certification. Early submission is recommended - the deadline to apply the code to receive the discount is September 30, 2019

11 a.m.–12 noon

Demonstration of IBHRE's Cardiac Device Education and Self-Assessment Course (Refreshments will be available): Are you preparing for the Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) exam? Do you want to update your knowledge of device management? Perhaps you want your staff to complete the course. Attend this session to learn about the new CDESA Course, an interactive online program with nearly 20 subject modules and a comprehensive assessment. You will not want to miss this session!
