Charles J. Love, MD |
As the President of the International Board of Heart
Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE), it is my privilege to lead an organization with such a
distinguished history. Instituted 27 years ago as the NASPExAM®, and now
entering the future with a name that speaks to a broader mission, IBHRE
continues to serve as a benchmark of professional competence for physicians and
allied professionals.
The IBHRE exam is developed by a distinguished
group of experts working through
the National Board of Medical Examiners. Those who receive competency
recognition are acknowledged by their peers as having acquired an extensive
knowledge and understanding of cardiac rhythm device therapy and cardiac
electrophysiology.
For both medical professionals considering taking the
exam, as well as those who have already achieved certification, the IBHRE website provides information about the exam,
the
value of IBHRE exam, and
how to prepare for the
examination. The content
outlines detail the competency areas covered in the exams. The
related links section
recommends organizations in the field of cardiology allowing physicians and
associated professionals to stay abreast of current concepts. Information on registration,
scoring,
exam
dates, and application deadlines is also
available.
My fellow physicians and allied
professionals, I invite you to take advantage of this program. IBHRE
certification is an asset for you and your profession, and its value is
unparalleled. Anyone who has achieved certification can attest to the level of
pride, professionalism, and respect that comes with passing the exam.
Attain IBHRE certification for the first
time, or recertify, and stand out among your colleagues as one who has proven
his or her dedication and knowledge in cardiac rhythm device therapy and
electrophysiology.
I am excited about working on behalf of IBHRE, and look
forward to future improvements to exam content, testing methods and study tools
that will enhance the value of this important tradition. Please contact

with any comments or suggestions.
Sincerely,
Charles J. Love, MD, FACC, FAHA, FHRS
